Echo Valley Employment Opportunities for the 2023-2024 season:

Echo Valley Ski Area is hiring for the 2023-24 Season!!!. These are part time seasonal positions. Weather permitting, the ski area will be open on December 16th. We are open everyday during the holiday period through January 1st. After the holiday period, we will open on weekends through February 19th, including Martin Luther King & Presidents day. Our operations schedule is highly dependent on the weather. Without snow, we can’t open… think Snow!!

The following positions are available:

Ski Hill Operator - must be 18 years old. Operates rope tows and poma. Coordinates parking, assists with ticket sales. Assists with ski hill opening and closing procedures.

Tube Hill Operator - works with a small team of attendents to open, run, and close the tubing hill. The tube operator assists guests on arrival and exit, explains rules and procedures. monitors tubing safety, enforces tubing safety hill policies.

Ski and Snowboard Instructors - must be 16 years old with the abilty to ski or snowboard. Teaches Ski lessons or Snowboard Lessons. 2 lessons per day, 10:30am and 1:00pm. No PSIA or AASI certification required. Training will be conducted by PSIA or AASI certified instructors to bring you up to speed.

Volunteer Ski or Snowboard Cadet - must be 12 years old(preferably 13), able to link turns, control speed and stop and ride ropetow.

Experience with customer service and ski area operation is good, but not required. Reliability and availability are critical qualifications. You must have reliable transportation. Background and reference checks will be required. Pay is dependent on experience

Volunteer Possibilities

Echo Valley is owned and operated by the Lake Chelan Ski Club, which is a non-profit organization that relies on volunteer support to help all aspects of providing skiing/riding and tubing opportunities for the Lake Chelan Valley. For the 23/24 season we have implemented a new volunteer program. If you purchase an Individual or Family Membership at the Early Bird rate, and donate 3 hours of volunteer work per person, you will lock in that rate for the coming season. Each person will have until next season when rates increase to the regular season price to complete their volunteer hours.

Volunteer Opportunities include, Fall and Spring Work Parties, Operating the lift during the season, Moving Firewood, Pulling and putting away tubes, taking out the trash, helping in the ticket office and rental shop, and countless other activities.
